BC Human Rights Tribunal accepts complaint against Walmart Canada and Shoppers Drug Mart

On August 8 2014, the BC Human Rights Tribunal officially accepted our complaint against Walmart Canada and Shoppers Drug mart for their failure to provide prescription medication information and instructions in a format accessible to persons who are blind or partially sighted. In doing so, both Walmart Canada and Shoppers Drug Mart were notified of our complaint and have until September 12 2014 to either accept an invitation to participate in an early settlement meeting or to contest our complaint. We are anxiously awaiting their respective responses and will post regular updates as they come available.
